Business Development Coordinator - Top Firm - Job 1120

Our client is a leading international law firm, with 12 closely integrated offices located in major financial centers around the world.  For more than 50 years, the firm has been preeminent in shaping the globalization of the legal profession.

Core Tasks: Assist Practice Data Manager and Marketing Coordinators, as well as other members of the global Marketing team in:
-        Maintaining practice data by updating materials and databases.   
-        Coordinating with the knowledge management group and lawyers on data management matters
-        Assisting with business development research including preparing client or prospective client profiles and reports
-        Assisting with the preparation of pitch materials for prospective client meetings including, formatting and physically producing electronic/hard copies of final materials documents.

Skills needed:  Ideal candidate will be a hands-on project manager and team player who possesses:
-        extraordinary attention to detail
-        excellent oral and written communications skills
-        the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
-        ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing needs for a variety of projects while working under tight deadlines

Education: Bachelor's Degree in business or liberal arts.

Professional experience: experience (internship) in a business development or marketing role in a professional or financial services environment preferred.

Proficient in PC applications: Microsoft Office, proficiency with Lotus Notes and/or similar databases






BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT ASSISTANT    TO $80,000.00 +


Our client ranked among the top three law firms in a survey in which Fortune 250 law departments were asked to name the the firms they rely on most, including 2nd for both corporate transactions and for corporate governance.

Primary responsibilities include:

Matter Database Management - Enter and update database coding of the firm's matters across several business areas. Position requires the development of basic knowledge of complex transactions and cases handled by the firm.

Business Research - Conduct business research on companies, industries and executives and synthesize the results into a practical format for use in the execution of business strategies.

New Business Presentations - Assist in the production of Powerpoint presentations, matter lists, and other marketing materials used in the context of new business pitches.

Qualifications:

Bright, team-oriented business development professional, who can manage multiple tasks and produce results in a fast-paced environment. Database management, business research, and presentations/graphics skills are a must (Powerpoint is essential -- HTML is a bonus). 3+ years marketing/business development experience required -- a background in law and/or financial services is preferred.
